Located on a farm in Avon NY, where he can be seen in person with an appointment
Irregardless is described as a very friendly horse who loves attention. That personality, combined with his black good looks and nice movement, make him an appealing prospect for those of you who like to bond and have fun with your horse. Irregardless showed good racing talent, but in 2018 he had a knee chip surgically removed and was given proper rehab and time off. He came back to the races in the summer of 2019, but didn’t show the same level of speed. He spent the winter on the same farm where he is now hanging out awaiting his new home, and came back to the track in the late spring when it reopened, and had a steady regimen of workouts to get him ready to race again. But his knee became slightly sore, so his trainer knew the best thing to do was to send him back to the farm and find a new career. The farm owner says he has been sound and playfully happy enjoying turn out. In his jog video he shows a flowing big strided walk and a lovely balanced and flat kneed trot. The trainer thinks he will be fine for most disciplines that are less strenuous than racing. While he may not be an upper level horse, he should be suitable for the lower level jumping, as well as dressage, hunter paces, trails and pleasure riding. Irregardless has 13 races, with one win and 8 top three finishes. He is fully eligible for the 2021 RRP. He is by Pomeroy, who is from the Danzig sire line; his dam Queen Bonnie is a daughter of Bernstein.

A pre-purchase exam is recommended. For information about vet practices available to do PPEs, please see the post pinned to the top of our FB page or the How to Buy menu tab on our website. Because this horse is at a farm, you will be able to choose many area vet practices, rather than having to use an on-track vet practice.
