Dan is indeed his name, and everyone can benefit from having a handsome, smart, kind Dan in their life!  Dan’s trainer describes him as a very sound guy with no vices, who is a good horse to handle and work with and ride, although he can have his occasional feel good moments.  His legs are very clean.  He is a beautiful mover, with a lofty light trot that suggests he could excel in dressage.  His trainer said she agreed he could make a great dressage horse. But with his soundness and movement and great shoulder and balanced conformation, he looks like he can excel in jumping disciplines too! Dan is ready to find a new career because he has one win in 12 starts, and since breaking his maiden he has not been competitive in the next level of race conditions. He is a Massachusetts bred son of Wild Desert, who is from the Wild Again sire line from a dam from the Damascus sire line.  Dan’s dam is by Unbridled Time, a son of Unbridled’s Song out of a Halo mare.  These are excellent lines for a sport horse career.
