Eastern Giant, 2012, 16h, Chestnut Gelding

On a day where we listed many good movers, Eastern Giant really stood out!  Like other Stonesider babies we have listed, Eastern Giant has jaw dropping movement, with excellent reach and suspension even in hand at a jog.  As someone commented on our Facebook page, he is a real “beefcake” and a handsome one at that!  His solid bone structure combined with his height makes him suitable for even taller of riders.  He is very lightly raced with only two lifetime starts.  While working around the 20th of June, Eastern Giant mildly bowed.  His trainer (who is also the owner and breeder) has been meticulously rehabbing him.  We have known many horses from our listings with minor (or worse!) bows that go on to lead extremely successful careers even at upper levels.  We know Eastern Giant will be no different.  His trainer reports that he is great to work with, which is exactly what we saw while taking his photos.  Eastern Giant is located with a barn known for their excellent horse care and honesty.  You can rest easy when working with this trainer knowing that they will be as upfront as possible to ensure horse and rider are happily matched.  We could provide some “happy customer” references who have bought lovely horses from these connections in the past.  His current connections would keep this very loved homebred (who they call the family pet) forever but very unfortunate health circumstances in the trainer’s family is forcing a herd reduction.  Only the best of homes will do and they would love to follow his second career!  He has no vices.
