This lovely, dark beauty was another that had us oohing and aahing over her conformation, flash and gorgeous movement. We arrived late at her barn so she was already done up, standard operating practice in this barn. She is reported to be sound and with the movement she displayed, we saw nothing to be concerned about. Her trainer said she is great to work around and nice to ride. We saw a quiet, classy filly who was happy to hang out with us while we soaked up her loveliness.
Late Moon is a Florida bred who didn’t race in Florida but, in fact, broker her maiden north of the border at Fort Erie a little over a year ago. After 28 lifetime starts, the elusive second win is not in the cards for her so her operations offer her for sale to a discerning buyer who will recognize the value in a pretty, sound, nice mover.
At the jog, we were excited about her lofty, balanced movement with pretty toe pointing reach. Wow. This girl is, hands down, a bargain any time of the year.
