For everyone who has wanted to get into the OTTB world but was a bit intimidated to get one right off the track, Red Roma is calling your name. This sweet, intelligent boy last raced in December of 2015. During his last start, he mildly bowed a tendon. He was given plenty of time off and attention and has rehabbed well. He was brought back to breeze following his rehab but his trainer decided he wasn’t showing enough promise to continue bringing him back, so back to the farm he went to enjoy the good life! Red Roma has been relaxing at the farm and has been ridden by some grooms both English and Western. He is described as a total sweetheart who anyone can ride. His trainer feels that he would be a great prospect for someone to bring along as a first OTTB project with some help from some experienced. His old bow is now tight and cold and does not seem to impact him. His trainer reports that he has no stall vices. He jogged politely on a loose lead and showed nice movement despite missing a shoe and being overdue for a trim. This is one not to be passed up-especially at this bargain price. His owner is very concerned with finding him the very best of homes and references will be checked. She reports she would also like a first right of refusal should his new person ever be unable to care for him.
He is by Burning Roma out of a Native Royalty mare.
