War horse alert! Not just another pretty face, this handsome fellow has also proven to be rugged and durable. He’s been a consistent and steady performer with 52 starts, chalking up 10 wins, with almost a quarter of a million dollars in earnings to his credit. He has a race entry on 11/26/25, so it’s possible that he’ll exceed that threshold. He’s an iron man! And a polite and handsome gentleman to boot!
He, like his stablemates, were already wrapped up for the day when we arrived to his barn mid-morning. We observed an attractive, solid, deep-bodied horse with a powerful and balanced build. He looks like the athlete that he’s already proven himself to be. He’s also got a lovely arched neck and beautiful, very cute face. He was a complete gentleman for his photos and video. A sweet, good boy. We were not informed of nor did we observe any vices or issues. During his video, we noted a relaxed walk with a nice overstep. He’s a cute and efficient mover, displaying a balanced, relaxed, and springy jog step.
Dates Freedom is by American Freedom (a son of Pulpit) with Pleasant Colony on his sire side. He’s out of a Yes Its True mare with Deputy Minister also appearing on his dam side.
If you love a good war horse, this classy boy is worth a look. He’s athletic, with the build and brains that have lent to his proven durability. He’s proven his racing chops and will likely shine just as brightly in his second career. Wouldn’t he be a fun one to take to the RRP makeover with his professional, been-there, done-that attitude?
