Hubba hubba, what a gorgeous horse! His trainer calls him Hank, but Hunk would also fit as a nickname. While Hank is a standout in the looks department, he has not been a star on the racetrack. He has 22 starts without a win. Although he has accumulated a good number of seconds and thirds, his owner/trainer knows that it is time to let him find a new career. She says that Hank is sound, and his legs are very clean. She recommends an experienced person for Hank, because when he is at the track he can be grumpy and pushy — sometimes nibbly , or moving into your space to tell you to get out of his way, friendly one moment and then pinning his ears. But she says he just hates the confinement and grind of the track life, and when she had him at her farm last winter and he got turn out, he was fine to handle. He turned out well with other geldings, but he does not want to be the last one out or the last to be brought in from turn out. He likes to show off, and has a prance with his front legs that is just like the dance done by the superstar Zenyatta. You can see some of his Zenyatta dance at the end of his video! Highest Rank displayed very beautiful light movement with suspension — and this was only two days after he had raced. He is by Courageous Cat, and his dam Hipshootinmama is by Successful Appeal out of a Silver Deputy dam. If you reaq down the fourth generation of his pedigree, it is a who’s who of great sires, all ideal for sport horse disciplines: Northern Dancer, Secretariat, Blushing Groom, Danzig, In Reality, Deputy Minister, Stage Door Johnny.
