It takes a special thoroughbred to live in the hustle and bustle environment of the race track and maintain a steadfast, quiet, low key personality, but the adorable miss Johnnie O has just that! She is said to be an easy ride– her connections report that she has the same laid back personality every day and could make an outstanding kids horse, even in a lesson program. Not many horses could go from the track to that type of job, but our volunteers agreed: this gal seemed to have a perfect personality. She is easy to work around, sound, clean legged with no vices and this girl exudes class. Her exercise rider states she is “the most intelligent horse she has ever ridden”.  Johnnie O is reported to also enjoy swimming and caught on to swimming at the racetrack pool immediately.  Johnnie O has been with her connections for quite some time.  They are very attached to her and want to ensure she goes to only the best of homes, so references will be required and they would love updates! We thought she was an adorable mover who would make a great children’s hunter.   Johnnie O has a fantastic sport pedigree, and her sire Holy Ground is Barbaro’s half brother, out of the same mare.   Her sire is a grandson of Halo, and her dam is by Stage Door Johnny — a sire you rarely see so close up in a pedigree these days.
