Metaxie, known as Mattie, Beautiful, sweet, smart, sound, lovely floaty big strided mover! We see show hunter stardom here. Our volunteers fell in love with this gorgeous girl, and came away convinced she is one of the nicest prospects we have listed. Her groom and the assistant trainer also love her, and just raved on and on about how nice she is, how sweet, how responsive, perfectly behaved, and nice to ride. They said the exercise riders fight over who gets to ride her. You can see from the photos that she stands to groom without even being tied — and they said she is like that in the wash stall too. She is clean legged and sound (the wraps on her front were just because the horses had been done up and put away for the morning by the time we got to her barn.) Her owner/trainer wants to place her because she is not proving to be competitive against the tougher class of race competition that she is now eligible for.
