Our Joy Ride, 2012 16.1h dark bay filly

This very solid bodied beauty glowed with dappled good health — even through her winter coat we could see the dapples glowing in the sun like shimmering spots. She is built like a quarter horse, and the groom  said she is a very good eater!  Joy is lightly raced, clean legged, and described as sound.  She won a couple of races last year, but this year she has had less racing success, so her trainer wants to move her on to a new career. We see unlimited potential for any new career. She has a huge strong sloping shoulder, and showed off toe pointing movement at the trot.  She is certainly pretty enough to catch the judge’s eye in the hunter ring, and with her strong hind end and shoulder, she sure looks like she will be a jumper or can spring away from a barrel.  We spoke with  a person who ponies horses for this barn , and she said that Joy is a really nice horse. She is a granddaughter of Afleet Alex, and he tends to get offspring who are very pretty, have very good brains, are good movers, and good jumpers.  That sure sounds like Our Joy Ride to us!  She is quite the bargain, so don’t hesitate to scoop her up.
