Bargain alert! This fancy boy has a whole lot going for him. Pat Joe moved to Finger Lakes with his connections from Florida over the summer. He is very lightly raced with only two starts-one in Florida and one at Finger Lakes, where he earned a whopping $880. After his brief racing career, he is letting his connections know that racing isn’t his thing, so they would like to see him move onto a new discipline. They report that Pat Joe is used to traveling back and forth between the track and the farm. They report that while he can be a bit “up” in the track environment, he settles right down at the farm and really enjoys his turnout time. He has been ridden by both children and adults at their farm in Florida and has even done some work over ground poles and small jumps. They report he is very athletic and kind and they think he would make an excellent eventer. They report he works well on the grass, which should appeal to our eventing shoppers. He has a very nice, correct conformation. At only 3 years old, he will continue to grow, and he is just a bit butt high at the moment so he is likely going through a growth spurt. His trainers have stopped his race training so he was feeling a bit high after his bath for our jog video, but he showed nice suspension. His trainers report that he is totally clean legged and sound. They also report he has good stall manners and no vices. We think he would be an excellent 2018 RRP prospect! He is by Courageous Cat out of a Grindstone mare.
