“Peace” 2011, 16h, bay colt

This regal, young colt gleaned with good grooming and showed off his round “chunky” physique and flashy chrome for our volunteers on the backside this morning. His race training was started at Belmont last year when he came into the hands of his current connections, who moved him up to Finger Lakes this year. He had a mild bow that is now completely healed, but his connections didn’t want to push him this year.  He has been training sound, although is unraced.  His shoes were just pulled before we met up with him for a photo shoot and his hooves were trimmed too short at that time (which is evident in the pictures) so we decided to wait for a video until later.  This horse screamed “class” to us and is just about as flashy as they come.  This horse is a clean slate and is ready to excel in any sporting discipline.  He is reported to be good to work around with a fun personality.  His trainer said that sometimes he likes to play with the leadrope in his mouth but has no vices.  His trainer has put a lot of work and love into keeping this boy looking immaculate, so a good home is a must.  Gelding procedures are very inexpensive and uncomplicated.  Great colts make even better geldings and we are sure that is the case with this gorgeous colt as well!

Update: Oct. 17, 2015: we visited Peace again today, two weeks after our initial meeting. He was now completely over being footsore from his too short foot trim, so we got a video. He was feeling good on a very cold morning, since he has not been in training, but we could see that he is a big athletic mover!
