A quality, elegant horse, this beautiful, almost black guy was graded stakes placed and finished in the money in the Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Turf as a 2 y.o. He impressed us with his handsome physique, elegant head, nice topline, and obvious intelligence, as well as his good movement. Ready’s success has been achieved despite losing an eye in an accident when he was a baby. His trainer says he races and rides and handles just fine without one eye –and we watched videos of his races that show him running inside horses, in the middle of horses, and moving in and out, straight and true. She described him as a “very cool” horse that she just loves,  and he really loves people; he is not afraid of anything, and is not at all spooky, and is bothered by nothing, even horses coming at him. She said that once he knows and trusts you, you can do anything with him. She says he is such a kind and smart horse that he would even be great for a therapeutic riding program. He has let her know that he just doesn’t want to race anymore, so it is time to give him a new career.
