Timothy’s Boy, 2009 16 h bay gelding

What a droolworthy hunk of handsome horse to cap off our morning in the cold and drizzle! The volunteers found more and more reasons to love Tim as our interview went on. Tim struck us as not only gorgeous, but also classy. He is very solidly built, with a strong hind end, and a good shoulder. We were drawn in by his classic chiseled, beautiful head and kind intelligent eye. He was well behaved and quiet despite dropping temperatures and a whipping wind. He has been out of work for about a month, hanging out at his trainer’s farm just down the road from the Finger Lakes Race Track, due to what we were told was a slightly sore knee. We palpated his legs and felt no heat, filling or anything obviously concerning and, later, while jogged for a video, he appeared not only sound but also demonstrated quite a balanced and lovely way of going.  In researching him, we discovered that he is a grandson of Maria’s Mon, which is a great line for good moving, good brained, and good jumping horses, and sold for $70, 000 in the Saratoga preferred yearling sale. So we’re not the only ones who thought he was quite the looker!

With his intelligent eye and aura of class, we bet he is a quick learner and will easily settle into a new routine and career. We really like this lovely gelding, and we are confident you will too.
