Siro Floozie, 2011 16.2h+ chestnut filly: owner retained for breeding

This tall, leggy, lightly raced,  daughter of Grand Slam has outstanding broodmare  potential for racing or sport, given her build, breeding, and movement!  She has the long and leggy, big sloping shoulder, classic thoroughbred looks, and she is described as a very friendly people horse, a sweetheart with no marishness or vices who greatly prefers carrots over peppermints. She has had only 11 starts, with 2 wins and 6 other on the board finishes.  She pulled a shoulder muscle in a recent workout, and how needs some rehab time. She will eventually be fine for riding and any discipline, but her owner/trainer thinks that she would be an ideal broodmare given her excellent pedigree.     Her sire Grand Slam is proving to be an exceptional broodmare sire for racing. He is also well known for producing horses with great brains and heart who are now excelling at eventing and in the H/J ring. Everyone we know who has been lucky enough to have a Grand Slam offspring in the sport world says they would take another one in a heartbeat!  She is out of a mare by Carson City, and her female family comes from one of the top lines of the great breeding operation of Paul Mellon’s famous Rokeby Farm. Her 4th dam is the French champion Rosaliere, who has produced many other champions or producers and sires of top stakes horses.  Siro Floozie was sold for $50,000 as a yearling, which is a testament to her pedigree and good looks.

The video is from last summer, and she jogged slowly and quietly, showing hints of lovely toe pointing movement. We watched some of her race videos, and in those, as she cantered and trotted back we saw a big flowing stride and a lovely ground covering toe pointing trot.
