Lucky for you this big beautiful son of champion Ghostzapper is ready to retire from the track. His trainer says he is just no longer interested in being a racehorse and is looking for a new career. She says he is quiet, nice to ride and should transition easily into a new discipline. She feels he could go in any direction and we would agree. We were very impressed by how sweet and friendly he was. He stood so quietly for his bath and then just hung out with us mooching some mints for his pictures. So If you’re looking for a big, friendly, quiet boy who could move into any discipline, this is your horse. He may even be a good child’s horse after retraining. His trainer says he makes some noise with his breathing when going at racing speed, related to an airway flap, but this should not affect him in most other disciplines. Good home required!

Beautiful, classy, flashy, great mover, lightly raced, sound, with excellent potential for many disciplines. He is just too slow to make it as a racehorse, but that is good news indeed for a new career. He was retired from racing earlier, and the owner then tried to bring him back but this year he is showing that he just isn’t interested in racing.  His trainer say he was turned out and ridden off the track and you that could do anything at all with this horse because he’s that nice and quiet. We just love his great neck, shoulder, topline, clean legs and solid body. This gorgeous horse showed off very nice movement for his jog video, with a reach to  his trot and good suspension and tracking up, and we can see him as a show hunter, or  a beautiful dressage horse. He should transition easily to a new career with his quiet demeanor.  He just oozes class and would get noticed at anything he does. Trainer says he is sound, with no vices.

Young,  lightly raced, very pretty, quiet and a nice mover: this is what everyone says they are looking for! His trainer says he is sound with no vices, but just not interested in racing anymore. We observed clean legs, and a quiet, friendly, demeanor.  We loved his gentle way of asking us for more mints, and his soft expression. The trainer confirmed our impressions:  He said the horse is always very quiet and is very easy to handle and work around. Friendly and so handsome, we saw a nice mover who was very well behaved when he trotted out for us. He looks like he has more growing yet to do and should fill out more as he matures.  When you come out to see him be prepared to fall in love with this affectionate guy. This pretty mare impressed us as soon as she walked out of her stall
with her black, shiny coat and quiet disposition. She has a lovely,
well balanced conformation with a beautiful shoulder. Her trainer
states that she is sound and our volunteers confirmed that on the day they saw her, her legs looked clean. She has been a useful racemare having started 39
times and brought in 3 wins, 9 seconds and 5 thirds. Having
accomplished all of that on the racetrack she is now ready to
transition to a new discipline that will showcase her athleticism and
flashy good looks. Her black coat, star, and four white socks should certainly get you noticed in the show ring!

Our volunteers watched her jog several times and saw sound movement.
She was a bit “on the muscle” so we didn’t see a relaxed jog that
enabled her to stretch out.

What a promising young horse this is! Big, solid, handsome and
sensible, there isn’t anything not to like with this beautiful boy. He
is described by his trainer as easy to get along with, and with excellent ground
manners. While he is quiet on the ground, his trainer describes him as
a forward horse who gets on the bit when he’s tacked and ready for
work. His legs are clean, and he showed lovely movement for his jog video. His trainer  states that his exercise riders report that he has lately been a bit stiff on one side, but he has been thoroughly vet evaluated and nothing has been found. She informed us, confirmed by Equibase, that he has not had a break from racing since November of 2012, and is now enjoying the beginning of a well deserved rest. That much needed break, plus some chiropractic work, should make him 100% for any new discipline. At the jog he shows very nice movement with loft and suspension, leading us to think that he has tremendous sport potential. He is reported to be a “happy” horse who never sulks and is always ready to deliver on what is asked of him. This guy is a diamond in the rough!

This stunning unraced young fellow has an interesting story that in no way
affects his desirability for the lucky person who steps up for him.
Basically, his owner/trainer has been unable to obtain a bill of sale
which means that he is unable to race him. He is understandably
disappointed because he shows signs of being a decent racehorse. The
trainer further states that the horse is as frustrated as he is! He
will, however, be sold with his JC papers, so no worries there.  Because he has stopped race training and just been walking, he was especially on his toes the brisk and blustery morning we took his photos and video. As fidgety as he was, we saw amazing conformation and flashes of brilliant movement. His pedigree supports
his potential for sport with Repent as his sire and out of a Skywalker
mare. He is already a good size and still has growing and filling out
in his future.  Trainer reports that he has a small undetached knee chip and it has not affected his soundness. X-rays are available for review. Overall, this young horse really impressed our volunteers as a horse with high potential for many disciplines. But, because he is young, big, and still growing, he will be best suited for an experienced rider..

This very pretty and sweet filly is an outstanding broodmare prospect, since she has a stellar pedigree full of champions and major black type winners and producers in her female family. Her sire is Pollard’s Vision, an up and coming young stallion who has already sired Eclipse Champion filly Blind Luck. Her dam, Brave the Storm, is by world champion sire Storm Cat, out of Brave Raj, who was Eclipse Champion juvenile filly and won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies race.  Brave the Storm has already produced two black type stakes placed winners, and Brave Raj is a stakes producer, whose daughters have also produced top stakes winners.  The trainer says Red Hot Hoofs is a kind girl, and a real hard trying doer with a lot of heart.  She has not raced because she has had a recurring lameness issue. She was thoroughly x-rayed, and no issues were revealed. Recently, they got a diagnosis of an ankle ligament issue, which with time will heal and make her suitable for any non-racing discipline. She has been just hanging out in her stall, and is now walking and jogging sound.  Even though she had been confined for a while when we took her photos and jog video, she walked quietly, and enjoyed being fussed over and admired by our group.  While her pedigree certainly should warrant serious interest from race breeders, her trainer thinks she has potential as a polo pony given her build and hard trying nature.

Attention please, gorgeous war horse here! This stunning guy just recently arrived at FL. We were so very impressed by his looks, personality and quiet behavior. The sun hit his coat like a highly polished copper beacon. He has such presence and he stood so quietly posing in the bright sun. He trotted out so very relaxed for his video. Max has proven himself to be an outstanding racehorse having made $300,000 in his career with $81,000 of that won just last year. Trainer said he was told he had an ankle issue so he had him x-rayed the same day he arrived. Says he vet told him he needs a few months off to rest and will be fine again. Unfortunately trainer says he has to many others and would like him to retire this grand horse from the track to a home that will see his potential. We see a  magnificent horse who, with some rest, has the potential for possible show horse, dressage or enviable pleasure horse. What a sweet smooch we found in Victory. He is such a love. Unfortunately he’s not into racing and would much rather be a well loved trail horse, husband horse or 4-H project.  Trainer says he was found to have a single chip in his knee and  raced sound over the winter on it but she wants to find him a good loving home. As you can see he still has some growing and filling out to do. The trainer states he was bedded on straw which he is allergic to hence the spots in coat, he’s fine on shavings though. This guy would really bloom with all the TLC you could give him and be forever in your pocket (probably looking for mints). A very kind horse.
