This lightly raced flashy girl is described by her trainer as very friendly and she feels anyone could ride her. This sweet girl really isn’t a rodeo gal at all. Her trainer says she just doesn’t want to be a racehorse because she’s just too quiet. She feels she has great potential for a smaller rider or child and says anyone can ride her. She certainly enjoyed being fussed over by all of us. She has a lovely topline, clean legs and is a nice mover. Her trainer says she is sound with no vices. We couldn’t get over what a sweetie she was and she jogged quietly despite the cold and wind we had that day. She seems like she would transition easily from the track and into your pocket. She could be just the horse you’ve been looking for and a great buy.Since she is only four years old she might even grow a bit more. Come out and snuggle this girl in person.

Despite his wonderful name this boy isn’t wild at all and certainly not wild about racing. His trainer says he’s a very friendly guy who is sound with no vices but just doesn’t want to be a racehorse. That seemed to be reflected in his soft kind eye and friendly demeanor with his trainer. He was very content to rest his head on John’s shoulder while we were talking and it was a very windy day. His trainer said he did well last year but just isn’t interested this year. He says he is sound with no vices with no wear and tear. He has nice clean legs, great feet and who jogged quietly without a chain over his nose on a very windy day. He just loved hanging out with us munching mints and giving lots of kisses. Don’t be fooled by how he looks standing next to his 6 ft 4in tall trainer. This a is a solid guy who would fill out quickly on grass and might have a bit more growing to do. He’s a lovely horse who could go in any direction, come check him out and bring plenty of mints.

This handsome and friendly guy has been a good racehorse who always tries his best.  He had a chip removed from his knee at the end of the meet last winter, spent the next couple of months recuperating, and was put back in training.  He breezed a week before we took his photos, and his caring owner and trainer decided that they didn’t want to push him to keep running, and would prefer to find him a good home with a less strenuous career. His trainer says that after a brief rest, he should be fine for riding.  He said he is a good horse, good to handle, sensible.  He was very dignified and well behaved for his photos.  We also watched some videos of his races, and he showed lovely movement, with a balanced flowing canter.  Please give this one a chance at a great new life!

A big, handsome, solid boned, serious sport prospect  — eventers come check this guy out!  His trainer says he is very quiet and relaxed, and a pleasure to ride and handle. He showed us just how good natured a horse he is, since he was in the middle of eating his lunch when his trainer brought him out for his photo session, and he didn’t mind at all and came out of his stall with a “whatever you want me to do” attitude. He has a balanced build, and a deep chest and sloping shoulder that suggest athletic and jumping ability. We spoke with the man who gallops him, and he told us he is really nice to ride, very sensible, with a big galloping stride, and he stays light in the bridle and never pulls or gets heavy. He also told us this guy has lots of stamina. All sounds perfect for the cross country course or fox hunting.  When he jogged for us, he was very well behaved and showed good suspension. We also watched videos of some of his races, and we saw a big ground covering gallop with a lovely balanced and light canter after the race. He has a turf oriented pedigree, by Ten Most Wanted from the Deputy Minister line, and his dam has produced some turf stakes winners. They are planning to take him to Mountaineer to try racing him on the turf, but they will also consider serious offers now.

This stunningly beautiful mare is also a cuddly candy lover. With her elegance, lovely expressive face, deep girth, sloping shoulder, nice topline, and good rhythmical movement, we can see her starring as a show hunter.  Indeed, her sire, Hook and Ladder, has produced several horses who have gone on to excel in the show ring, and he is known for getting horses with good movement, great temperaments, and jumping ability. Her face is so beautiful that we just kept taking pictures – it was hard to draw our eyes off her. She stood like a quiet model for her photos, and her trainer described her as very relaxed, easy to handle, clip and bathe, and very sweet. They raved about her personality – if you want a horse to love and snuggle with this is your girl!  She was very quiet and well behaved for her video jog, and showed very nice movement with good cadence. She is described as sound, and her legs looked clean and tight. Note: she was standing on a slight downhill slope – she is not built downhill.  In person she looks very balanced. Beautiful quality horses like her don’t last long, so don’t hesitate to call about her.

This beautiful gray home-bred is a friendly, laid back guy with a great shoulder and nice movement – what’s not to love!  He was bred and raised by his owner/trainer, and he is much loved, so only the very best of homes will do.  They will be able to tell you his complete history.  He is solid bodied, clean legged, and they say he is sound – he had raced the day before his photo session, and he is just telling them that he doesn’t want to be a race horse anymore.  They say he has no bad habits or vices, and that he is such a friendly good horse that kids play with him at their farm.  He turns out well with others, and is very easy to handle.  He is so laid back that when five strangers all simultaneously trooped into his stall at the track to get a good look at him and, he just turned to all of us to say hello and look for a treat.  This handsome horse could go in multiple directions – the show ring, eventing, hunter paces, trail riding.

Update 5/7/2013:  This mare spent the winter relaxing in a farm in Kentucky, and her owner will keep here there for a while as she continues to wait for the perfect new person to come along who can bring out her exceptional potential for a new career.  This means she is ready to go in your retraining program — no down time from the track required!

This stunning dark grey beauty certainly knows she’s a top model, as she posed so regally to show off her dark coat, silver tail, and striking white marks on her face.  She has a great shoulder and good hip angle that suggest jumping should come naturally to her.  She has a nice flowing walk, and good reach to her toe-pointing trot.
With her movement and striking good looks she should certainly draw attention in the show ring.  She has already had some basic retraining with a H/J trainer in Ohio over the summer, so she is ready for her new career. Her trainber said she is very sweet, beautiful to work with, and loves treats. He described her as very sound, and her legs are beautifully clean. She is lightly raced, with only 14 starts, so there isn’t much wear and tear on her. She also has an excellent pedigree for sport, by Kafwain, from the Cherokee Run, Runaway Groom sire line, and out of a Holy Bull mare. Better move fast — gorgeous sound and athletic greys like her don’t last long.
