Barbarules, 5 year old, 16.1-16.2, bay mare

Located off the track, she was quiet in her stall and led very calmly out the barn past other horses. There were two horses in the pasture right next to us (as you can see from the photos) and she paid no attention to them as she posed like a true lady for her photos. Note there is no chain being used, just a normal lead rope! Very quiet and pretty with nifty face markings…sorry about her being dusty and covered in shavings! This lovely solid bodied and well put together mare is described as sound, with no vices, and very good to handle and work with.  She presents a great opportunity to get a big and beautiful and quiet horse at a bargain price!

Coruscation, 6 y.o. dk. br. gelding, 16 h

His name means “sparkling,” and he is indeed a gorgeous sparkler!  He is solid boned, with a huge and powerful shoulder well balanced by a strong hind end.  He is also a very nice mover. The whole package suggests great athletic potential for eventing or other jumping endeavors.  His breeder, who showed him to us, described her much loved homebred as a playful character with a “punk attitude” but who is really just a teddy bear who loves hugs and treats. She said he has been ridden on trails, even bareback, and she described him as “very cool” to ride. He is described as completely sound, and his legs are clean.  She also said he is a buddy up quiet boy in turn out, and that he is easy to hanndle, cross ties, and loads and trailers like a gentleman.  This one is another amazing “end of season” bargain — better act fast, since horses of this quality and potential do not last long at any price.  A very good home is essential.

Instant Flash, 3 year old, grey filly, 16.2 h: retained by owner for racing next year

A pretty grey sweetheart with a huge shoulder and deep girth, an uphill build, and beautiful floaty movement! Tremendous athletic potential here. Eventers, jumpers, dressage riders — all should get in line for this one! She still has some filling out, maturing and growing to do, but we can see what a stunner she will be when she fully grows into her big leggy frame. Her handler described her as having a wonderful willing attitude, a light soft mouth, and as very easy to work with, good in turn out, and with no vices whatsoever. She also said she loads and trailers well.  Her nickname is “Baby A.P.”, and her dam is by A.P. Indy. The same dam produced A.P. Light, who was deservedly popular earlier this year on our listings. Baby A.P.’s sire is Flashy Bull, who is by Holy Bull — a sire who has produced some great jumpers, show hunters, and dressage horses.
This sweet filly was very well behaved even though there was a cold wind whipping her silver tail around and she just wanted to cuddle into her handler to stay warm.  She jogged quietly, showing off a long stride, and a floaty flat kneed trot with great reach to it.  Unfortunately, the videographer’s frozen fingers clumsily turned off “record” too soon, so you can only see a snippet of what we saw.  If you need to confirm what a great mover she is, watch the replay of her recent winning race, where you can see her gallop out past the finish line and trot back to the winner’s circle. Replays are available for free on the Finger Lakes Racetrack website.

This guy’s trainer was off to a race so we only got to meet this guy over the stall door. He poked his pretty head out for us to admire. New York Style, 9 year old 16 h, bay gelding

What a flashy boy and he comes with a great nickname – Cheesecake!  Classy good looks and a friendly guy too. Cheesecake was bred by his trainer and she owned him until he was claimed from her this past summer. After he won his last race she bought him back and rehabbed him from a fractured sesamoid. He is now sound at the walk and trot and she feels he will do really well with a a few months off to completely heal. X-rays are available for review. She would like to retire him but a good home is essential. She said he is a very good boy and we can attest he is a real people lover and a mint hound. She  feels he will transition nicely from the track and feels he will be a wonderful riding horse.

Maggie’s Prince, 5 y.o., dark br, 15.3+ horse

This guy truly is a prince. He’s by the gorgeous million dollar winner Regal Classic, who is well known for producing horses with great minds, nice movement, and good jumping ability. Despite the fact that Prince is still a stallion this is a very quiet horse. His trainer and grooms joked about how quiet he is despite being surrounded by mares in the barn. When his trainer brought him out and he was an absolute puppy dog. His velvety soft black coat was shiny despite the dull weather of the day and he gladly stood around to be admired and given lots of mints. He showed us just what a soft snuggler he really can be. He trotted so quietly, showing very nice movement and then stood around some more as we got pictures.  His trainer says he is sound with no vices and could even be a good child’s horse with some additional training. This wonderful boy would transition easily to life off the track with gelding and lots of snuggling. Don’t miss a really nice horse who needs a good home very soon.

You Jump, I Jump, 5 year old, 16.2+ dark bay, gelding

Being retained by owners as the “self-described pet”. 🙂

I have run out of superlatives expressive enough to give this amazing horse his due worth. We settled on SPECTACULAR and are sticking to it. This horse is the trainer’s daughter’s self-described pet. The fact that he has had extensive training and excellent handling is obvious in his absolutely regal appearance and demeanor. Eyeballed at 16.2-16.3 and appearing black, he is a registered dark bay (yes, I asked!) 5 year old whose potential to exceed in any discipline is boundless. He has been trained in western horsemanship, ponied racehorses in a western saddle, started over cross rails in an english jumping saddle, and is a generally well grounded individual. His great shoulder lends to a long-legged stature that is very well balanced. Whe he jogged for us we were very impressed with his movement. Suspenion, loft, swing, reach — just gorgeous!  We also witnessed a distinct overstep at the walk. His handler has galloped him on the racetrack and also used him as a pony horse at Penn, and she raved that he is just lovely to ride.

Letthestoriesbtold, 6 year old, 16.1 grey mare

Our second to the last horse of the day joined her stablemate as two of the nicest horses we have seen on this backside (and that’s saying a lot). For whatever reason, we haven’t had so many grays listed with us, so fans of grays and roans will be smitten with this beautiful girl who is very, very special to her groom, the trainer’s daughter. A five year old mare who had just recently run (thus the poultice was standard post-race care), she is being retired from racing while still healthy and happy. She far exceeded a volunteer’s “cuddle test” because she is so sweet and charismatic. We eyeballed her at 16.1 hh and, when asked to jog, she showed us beautiful hunter-type movement. The owners had nothing but positive things to say about this pretty gal.

Love and Havoc, 6 year old, 16.3 chestnut gelding

At this point in the morning, we had covered a lot of territory and still had trainers flagging us down. The wind was whipping, the temperature was dropping and we were, frankly, pretty beat. What a fortuitous “just one more” moment when this spectacular fellow walked out of the barn! All fans of tall, flashy, sane and sound chestnuts, here you go! Havoc has a truly lovely presence and his handler couldn’t say enough nice things about him. A 16.3, six year old hunk of athleticism, he is a barn favorite and is sensible enough to be safe around the trainer’s young son, who goes into his stall with him and indulges his peppermint habit. He certainly struck us as quiet and well mannered, as well as a very nice mover.  This one has upper level event or show horse potential written all over him. A very classy horse, with a classy pedigree as well.

Mr. Magenta, 6 year old, 15.2 bay horse

CUTE!!!! This imposing fellow could have masqueraded as a quarter horse with his powerful build and “stud cheeks”. He’s a six year old bay colt, very nicely built with a pretty head, and he stands 15.2 (sticked).. He gratefully accepted our scritches and mints was very laid back. His handler said he is very well behaved and not studdish at all. He was very quiet for his photos and for his jog, and is a nice mover. This horse has been a very good race horse, winning 9 races with over $150,000 in earnings. He has definitely earned his retirement! Once he is gelded he should transition very easily to a new career.  Please give this wonderful hard trying horse a chance!  He needs to find a new home very soon.

My Milenium Breeze, 5 year old, 16.2 bay mare

Here’s a pretty and quiet girl looking for a home now! Along with her stablemates, this five year old mare just knocked our socks off. At 16.2 hh (sticked), we were struck with her neck and shoulder. She is described by her handler as sound and, when asked for a jog, we witnessed very elegant movement with marvelous suspension and cadence. A horse this well put together and fancy just screams dressage! Despite the wind and dust she was very quiet while we got her information. She was very friendly and enjoyed hanging out munching mints with us. Her trainer says she has no soundness or vice issues and that she might even be suitable for a junior rider with some additional training. She has outstanding potential for many sport disciplines, and since she needs to find a new home very soon she is one of the best bargains of the season!

Jabez, 3 year old, 15.3, chestnut filly

What a beautiful, elegant filly who just shouts “I want to be a fancy show horse!” We never know what is going to walk out of the barn as we stand outside waiting for our subject to arrive for his/her photo shoot. What a treat it was to watch Jabez arriving on the scene. Although she won her last start (and is sound), she is being moved on because of her less than competitive racing future. She is a truly elegant 3 year old filly, about 15.2-15.3 (sticked) and very likely to grow some more , sporting a lovely dark chestnut coat with dapples visible through her beginning winter coat. This gal will be stunning when filled out and sporting a shiny summer coat. We were impressed with her lovely topline and beautiful movement. What we saw was a flash of flat kneed extension and reach that will definitely get noticed in the hunter under saddle classes or in dressage. This gal is destined to be one fancy showhorse and can be yours for $500 neg. Please don’t wait on her!

Dazzling Derek 9 yo 15.3 bay gelding – under saddle video added/price reduced

What a pretty guy Derek is with his gorgeous dapples, big chest, nice bone and great feet. We really enjoyed visiting with him and his trainers say he is quite a character, a real people horse. Apparently this personable guy love to snuggle his people, loves to be handled and loves to please.  He is still racing at the moment but will be going home to be ridden at the farm. They say he is getting ready to retire and ready to move on to a new career. The trainer mentioned that he came to them with his puffy ankles but has been sound and he hasn’t had any problems. He also said he has no vices. After some transition time he could be a fun show prospect for an adult or young rider. Derek is looking for a great companion and someone wants a horse that really enjoys his owner. Come out to see him and prepare to fall in love.

Ommadon’s Reign, 5 y.o. dk. b. 16h+ gelding

This well built, nice moving five year old has been a durable, but unsuccessful race horse, but he looks like he has excellent potential for a new sport career.  He has the sloping shoulder, good hind end, and balanced build that one looks for in eventing or jumping.  He is a well behaved, good minded horse, and his trainer says he is sound with no vices.  For his video he was very well behaved, and showed a nice long strided walk with good flow from the shoulders, and a nice trot too.  He is a grandson of Derby winner Grindstone, which means he comes from the Fappiano lines so well known for producing good jumpers.  This one is a true bargain diamond in the rough looking for a person to bring out his aptitude and potential.  He needs to find a new home very soon, so please step up for him!

Street Cruise, 3 year old, bay 16.2, gelding

High quality, stunning athlete here!  This handsome and lightly raced young horse is described by his trainer as very sound, and we noticed that his legs are nice and clean.  We also admired his sloping shoulder, strong hind end, nice topline, and balanced build.  He is an excellent mover, with suspension, reach, and power. He is also regally bred, by champion and Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense, out of a Pulpit mare.  It is hardly surprising that he sold for $140,000 as a yearling. Horses of this quality do not come along often! He presents a rare opportunity, and he is well worth the asking price.  His owner and trainer will keep him over the winter and race him again next year if he is not sold, so don’t expect much wiggle room on his price.

Terrox, five year old, 15.3 chestnut, gelding

Check out this adorable chestnut beauty whose dapples shown through the beginnings of his winter coat. He is a Kentucky bred whose sire, Pollard’s Vision, was a graded Stakes winner with earnings well over a million dollars. Terrox raced steadily this year until earning a rest at the end of August, because his ankles were showing a bit of wear and tear. With this rest, his trainer says he is now sound, and he has even resumed breezing. He jogged soundly for us as well.  He has not shown enough racing ability to make it worth bringing him back to the races next year, so his trainer would like to find him a good home where his good looks and sweet personality will be appreciated. Who’s Livin Bettor, 12 year old, bay gelding

If you’re looking for one of the older campaigners, the been-there-done-that, seen-it-all iron horse, your search is over! This beautiful, flashy bay with lots of chrome is an elegant and gallant war horse who oozes class deserves a wonderful retirement in a loving home.  He has remained sound through 91 races in which he has hit the board 43 times, earning over $110,000.  He won races at 11, and is back in training at 12! That’s speaks volumes about his stamina and hardiness. His trainer says he is so quiet and sensible that you can ride him with just a halter and lead rope. As he posed for us we admired his solid bone, good looks, and his alert, wise and proud gaze.  Clean legged and sound, he still has many years of pleasure to give a new person. His dam was also a durable racehorse, and has produced other good sound horses who have in turn produced the same.  Soundness and durability are obviously in this guy’s genes. He showed a nice flowing, ground covering walk and a good moving trot.

Seneca Chief, 6 year old, bay, 16h gelding

This handsome  gelding has had only four races, and has shown no interest in running fast.  But this presents a great opportunity to buy a lightly raced and according to his trainer completely sound, handsome young horse who looks like he’s built to succeed at eventing, show jumping, dressage or trail riding. He’s a very sweet horse with a super kind eye and an easy ride according to his trainer. Although there was commotion around us when we took his photos, he was very well behaved and let us love on him. He is by Chief Seattle, who has produced several offspring that have gone on to do well in eventing and in the show ring. His dam sire is Mr. Greeley, who also is an excellent sire of jumpers and steeplechasers.  At his bargain price, this one presents a rare opportunity. Better snap him up fast!

Take the Press, 6 year old, 16 h mare

Sold to keep racing.

This solidly built mare instantly impressed us with her quiet and dignified demeanor. Lightly raced with only seven starts, she has shown no aptitude for racing. She was not even brought to the track until she was five, but has had plenty of handling, and has even been ridden on trails away from the track. Her exercise riders love her, because she just cruises around the track, all business.  She was a doll during her photo op and was unfazed about all of the hectic energy around her.  She has an excellent pedigree for sport, with distance loving sires who have produced good jumpers throughout her pedigree.

Thunder Roaring – being retained for racing

3 years old, 15.2h gray filly

This compact, gray, filly with room to grow is race fit and full of energy in her morning workouts, but she has not carried this over to the afternoon races. She had just trained and cooled out when we took her glamor shots and she was quiet and attentive. She is a half sibling to Head Heart Hoof who has a rather remarkable race career and has two siblings who have been big money earners, but she apparently didn’t get their racing chops! This beautiful mare who has been meticulously cared for by her trainer. A unique true liver chestnut in her coloring, she is simply stunning — and a wonderful mover. Major athletic talent and potential here! She’s slowing down on the track and her trainer wants to retire this lovely mare sound. She says she is sound with no vices, has been ridden at the farm and trailers great. She’s also good in turnout with other horses. Apparently this guy isn’t running by anyone so it’s time to leave the track..We just drooled when we saw this horse and could not take our eyes off him. Well balanced, solid, great conformation, amazing suspension and movement. Exquisite quality and one of the best horses we have ever seen at the track. His trainer says he has not lived up to their expectations on the track but this is horse has it all for the show ring. He could go in any direction and be successful. cute, he would make a lovely lady’s riding horse. He was so quiet he was used to train new exercise riders. His trainer has taken absolutely meticulous care of him. We’ve followed him for over a year and can’t say enough about what a wonderful horse he is. He deserves a special home where he will continue to be well cared for and appreciated. As you can see they are a very close pair and it will be very hard for Dave to give him up. Mikey has an old bow that he raced and won on and has no vices. We hope the right person will step up to take him into their heart and home.

Asking: Good home essential, price negotiable to the right home.

Regal Island, 3 year old, 15.3, blood bay filly

Regal Island 3 yo 15.3 Blood bay filly

This girl’s mother is a stakes winner but this sweetie just doesn’t seem to have that aptitude for racing. She is solid, friendly and well built  with the prettiest face.  Don’t let the photos fool you — she is a bright blood bay beauty. Unfortunately the weather went from sunny to dull that day and this girl ended up in some of the darker photos. She lightly bowed her in her left front tendon about 40 days ago but the trainer says it has been steadily improving and fully expects her to be completely sound for anything. She still has plenty of growing to do and is a nice mover. She is certainly fancy enough for a show career.

Regal Encounter, 9 year old, 15.3, dk bay gelding: Placed!

This solid looking boy has a Quarter Horse build that would look great under English or Western tack. He has been well cared for by his trainers who feel he deserves to retire now still clean and sound. She said he does nothing wrong, is smart and takes good care of himself. She also mentioned he is good to handle, loads and ships well.We were certainly very impressed with how well balanced he is with a beautiful slope to his shoulder and his mature nature. He was very quiet while he was watching all the action going on at the track. His video shows what a lovely mover he is, very free and forward. His trainer feels he would do well with a moderate to advanced rider to transition him from the track. She said he cribs lightly but has never worn a collar.

Melody Queen, 6 year old, 16 h BLACK mare

Yes, this very elegant lady is registered as a true black. This girl might be the steal of the season. Her trainer says it is time for her to retire and he says she is sound with no vices. She has a lovely topline with a nice shoulder and long elegant neck. Her video shows a nice quiet girl who is a pretty mover. Once she’s away from the track and fills out she might make a gorgeous show hunter or dressage horse. We think with her sweet friendly disposition she should transition easily. Don’t hesitate to come out to see this one, you won’t be disappointed.

Denise’s Miss El, 6 year old, 15.3 bay mare

Quiet, sound and friendly is how her trainer describes this sweet lady who is a lovely bay with a hint of roaning in her soft coat. They mentioned she just isn’t meant to be a racehorse but should transition well to a new career. She said is a very people oriented girl who might make a good polo pony or even be good with children after some initial training. Her soft eye reflects that and with her clean legs, great feet and a gorgeous top line, she would be a nice ride in any discipline. She was a very quiet mover in her video and despite all kinds of activity on the track she was content just to stand and snuggle with us.

Born to Dazzle, 6 year old, 15.3-16h bay gelding

AKA Jake. This boy just doesn’t care about racing. His exercise riders say he’s good to ride and the owners say that he has been trail ridden all over in the woods and fields at their home. They say he is sound with no vices and he is one of their home breds so you can get his whole history from them. He was standing off the crest of the road so his pictures just don’t do him justice. He is not downhill as he appears in some of those photos. They think that he will transition easily given his previous experience in the field. So if you’re looking for a horse with a head start ask them for more info on this great guy.

Tindaro’s Prospect, 4 year old, 15.2-3, bay gelding

This boy just raced yesterday so he’s still wearing his wraps. Prospect is a solid, pretty boy who doesn’t want to be a racehorse. He really impressed us as a quiet friendly guy who is a smooth mover and has some great bloodlines. His trainer says he is sound, a nice ride and he doesn’t even need a pony to go to the track. When he brought him out we noticed he has a soft eye and was super friendly and cuddly. He does wear a cribbing collar and we noticed he did some weaving but we got the sense that away from the track he would be a whole different horse. In a more relaxed atmosphere with a caring owner he would blossom into a wonderful companion who would be grate full for all the TLC. If you’re looking for a nice horse, given some down time to relax, this could be your boy.

Asking: $500 and that might be negotiable to the right home.

Private Screening, 6 year old,15.3 dk bay mare

Here is another lovely lady. Scheduled for another race, her trainer says she will be retiring this year after one more race. When she came out of her stall she was very attentive and curious while we got her information.. She also jogged very quietly and was very sweet when we petted her afterward. She recently banged her right hock and while it’s enlarged the vet says it is no problem. She breezed on it just yesterday and is entered in an upcoming race. Apparently it’s just a cosmetic thing. Doesn’t seem to affect her way of going though and she is sound with no vices. Come out and you can judge this attractive girl for yourself.

New York Wine, 3 year old, 15.2, bay filly

Out of the mare, Uncork New York. We really liked this cutie who still has some more growing to do. She is described by her trainer as a quiet but a strong little horse who would make a great Polo pony. She is compact and may have the ability to excel in other areas too. She is very attractive with with a white blaze and her three white and very solid feet. She has a very sweet disposition and with the right training she just might go in any direction. Come out to see this lightly raced sweetie for yourself.

Capridge, 5 year old, 16.1, dk bay, gelding

We’ve been waiting to meet this boy and get his pictures and we weren’t disappointed. Don’t let that fuzzy coat fool you; this guy has a nice topline and clean legs and a sweet personality . He’s telling his people he just isn’t interested in racing anymore and could transition nicely to life off the track. He was very friendly and attentive when we took his pictures. A major mint lover, he was really sweet and seemed to enjoy all the attention he got from us too. Just imagine this great guy all bathed, brushed with his shiny dark coat with his novel  looking blaze. He looks a bit like his sire Cactus Ridge. The owner’s daughter says he he has been turned out at the farm in the past so it shouldn’t take him long to start a new career. Trainer says he is sound with no vices. Looks like he would be a fun companion.

Genuine Offer, 4 year old, 15.3 + bay filly

What an opportunity — a horse who has had two months of schooling in flat work and jumping — and she absolutely loves to jump!.  This sweet and quiet filly is known as Bella, and her owner and trainer have had her since she was a 2 y.o.  Earlier this summer she was showing no interest in running anymore, so they took her to a boarding farm, where she has been making amazing progress in her transition to a new career.  She is described as loving to jump, already doing 2 ft. courses, lead changes and leg yielding, very quick and eager to learn, never spooky.  She has a bold and eager attitude, so we think she has excellent eventing potential. Her owner and trainer recently decided that the boarding farm was not an ideal place for Bella, so they just brought her back to the track where they can care for her — and you can more easily come see her. They might try to race her once before the end of the meet, but by early December she will be ready to go to a new home.  Bella’s quick transition and jumping ability are hardly surprising given her pedigree, which is filled with great jumping lines. She is by Slice of Reality, who is well known for getting level headed horses who love to jump, and he is from the In Reality line. Damascus, Never Bend, Sir Ivor are other notables in her pedigree. You can go right into eventing or the show ring this winter or next spring with the lovely girl.

Gotagetthegreen, 4 year old, 16.2 bay gelding: Placed through FLTAP

“Green” is a big handsome solid guy who doesn’t want to be a racehorse, but he sure looks like a terrific sport or show prospect! He was very well behaved, has nice conformation and a handsome face, and he is a lovely mover who floated over the hard pavement.  Despite the rain and wild winds he jogged very quietly. His trainer says he is 100% sound and has no vices. We think with his many talents he might make a nice show hunter. His price may be negotiable to a good home so come see him for yourself.

Update Jan. 2013:  He is now at the Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program (FLTAP).  He was placed from there.

Lovely Promise, 6 year old, 15.3 h mare

Lovely Promise is just as lovely and sweet as her stablemate, Pupper. Lovely Promise, a 6 year old mare who stands about 15.3 h,  won her last race and is entered back on Monday 11/5. Also bred for turf/poly racing surfaces, her connections feel that her opportunities to race on those surfaces will have to wait for her 7th year, so she’s ready to enter the next phase of her life off the track. This mare is described by her owner/rider as a sensible, kind and willing partner who is a “doll” to ride and that anybody can hop on her and she will not take a bad step. As we interviewed her, she maintained her cool as the temps dropped and wind whipped. She is also a beautiful mover, suggesting she should excel in the show hunter ring.

Song for Pupcake, 6 year old, 16.1+ mare

Gotta’ love a mare whose nickname is Pupper! What a pretty girl she is and her owner describes her as sound with excellent manners. Pupper is six year old and 16-16.2 hh with a solid build and beautiful coat. This lovely mare comes from a shedrow that takes excellent care of their horses and it certainly shows in her. Her connections are choosing to move her on at this point in her life primarily because she is a horse bred for turf/poly racing surfaces and she’s at a dirt track. Notice that the shank is hooked under her chin!

Merlin Circle, 7 year old, chestnut, 16h stallion

Merlin Circle (Merl) is a chestnut horse who stands about 16 hands. As testament to his gentle and quiet disposition, when we photographed him he had not yet been out of his stall, so he could have been a bit on his toes, but he was quiet and well behaved. I think his trainer has a soft spot for him as Merl has quite a passion for peppermints! At one point the trainer dropped the shank and Merl stood like a statue while the trainer laughed about the horse following him like a puppy dog! Merl’s people recognize that his heart isn’t in the game anymore and it’s time for him to move on.

Katlyn Ann, 4 year old, 15.2 filly

Katlyn Ann is a 4 y.o. 15.2 hh filly who is built like a tank, with a powerful engine. She is stabled at the farm adjacent the racetrack and we didn’t have a good outside area to jog her in, so used the indoor to get her pics and videos. Katlyn Ann has a beautiful head and face and presented herself as a sweet, quiet girl who likes to snuggle with her human. Her handler describes her as 100% sound with absolutely no vices. Katlyn hadn’t been groomed yet when we visited with her, but we could see dapples under the dust!

Sing To Me, 3 year old, 14.2 ch. filly: Placed!

If you are looking for a child’s hunter in an irresistibly adorable package, look no further than Sing To Me!

This little girl may very well be the most adorable horse we have ever seen! At 14.2 hh, she is closer to pony size with chrome galore and incredibly intricate and unusual markings. She is only twp years old so will grow some more, but she won’t be a big horse. We took her glamor shots in very cold and windy conditions and she was unfazed by the weather and all the activity around her. She was quiet, affectionate and well behaved. Her handler described her as sound but just too small to be a competitive racehorse. Interestingly enough, her dam, Fly To Me, was Finger Lakes Horse of the Year several years ago. Her breeder/owner has chosen to stop on her and give her the best chance possible to move on to her next move. This is one fancy filly who will light up the show ring for the lucky person who gets there first!

This classy and sought after lady has finished her career as a successful racehorse and has settled with one of our volunteers. Its been a year long wait for her new owner to bring her home and the trainer made sure that Truffula was hers! Congratulations!
