A big, sound gelding with good bone and excellent manners?? You surely have room for this guy in your barn. Our volunteers have admired this gorgeous guy for quite some time.  This gorgeous and loveable gentleman has won over $70,000 in his time on the racetrack, and has shown his connections that it’s time to move on to a new career. He’s described as easy to work around, good to gallop and workmanlike on the track. He has a good brain and is mild mannered, despite his large stature. It was a brisk, sunny January morning for our meet and greet, and Backstage was most concerned with the candy supply from his handler. He is reported as sound with no stable vices. Kindhearted, and willing, yet athletic and capable are all descriptors used to define Nail It. In just 32 starts he earned more than $80,000, but his connections are ready to let him retire to his next career while he still has the soundness and heart of a champion. On a January day where the sun was enchanting for most off-season racehorses, Nail It showed his gentleman-like demeanor and his adorable personality. He is reported as sound with no stable vices. His connections are known for top notch care and concern for the long term well being of their retirees– and Nail It will surely have a second career worth following. We could see him excelling in any discipline and he is the type that a junior or amateur could bring along with the help of a trainer. Our volunteers have met Nail It on a few occasions and each time he has been quiet, quiet, quiet.  He is also a fabulous mover with a huge stride.  Every time he has jogged out for us, he has done so with a loose lead and been level headed.  He seems like a “been there done that” soul who is just an overall “good egg”.  He has won our hearts over quickly!  Nail It is another fabulous RRP prospect!

This gorgeous guy has a classy disposition and remarkable conformation, likely from his regal breeding.  M Six is by Medaglia D’Oro out of a stakes winning mare and he sold for $240,000 as a 2 year old at the Fasig Tipton Florida sale in 2012!  While his race record doesn’t quite match his breeding, he has had some successes on the racetrack with two wins in 2016, his only placing finishes in his outings for the year. He’s made it clear to his connections that his athleticism and class is best suited for a new discipline and our volunteers could see him going any direction!! His stunning, uphill build combined with his reasonable temperament and avid athleticism could make him a fabulous event horse or jumper prospect, but he certainly has the movement to get noticed in any sporthorse discipline.  On a very cold, blustery day, he walked quietly out of his barn (where his equine friends were causing quite the ruckus) and was a gentleman to show off his gorgeous and ground covering movement for his jog video.  We think he will really turn heads!  He has a stocky build and combined with his height, he could be an excellent choice for a taller rider.  He is another great prospect for the 2017 RRP!
