This awesomely handsome gelding is by Any Given Saturday, the sire of 2015 Breeder’s Cup Turf Sprint winner, Mongolian Saturday. He has a decent race record with 26 starts 5 wins and 6 thirds, including a maiden special weight win in Saratoga as a 2 y.o. followed by a third in the David Stakes. He remains sound, per his trainer, but is just done with racing and facing tougher competition in the lower ranks at Finger Lakes. As we were photographing him, his trainer had nothing but superlatives to describe his demeanor, stating that he is one of the easiest and kindest horses in her shedrow. She has wintered him at her farm for two years and states that he is great in turnout and gets along with the other horses.

Now that he is no longer in race training, he has a lot of fitness still and was quite frisky during our interview, but did nothing mean and unexpected. We admired his big bodied good looks with a beautiful, big shoulder and powerful engine. At the jog we saw glimpses of nice movement with suspension and loft.
