This beautiful, young, sound and clean legged and very nice moving gelding is a fabulous prospect for sport, and offered at a bargain price!  After only 6 races with no better than some 4th place finishes, A Trip to Lourdes is not showing enough racing ability to persist with a racing career, so his trainer, who knows the H/J world well, is offering him as a prospect for H/J or eventing careers. She says he is very sweet, loves people, and also gets along great with other horses, including in turn out.   We photographed Lourdes the day after he raced, and he showed no post race stiffness; he showed off very nice light flowing movement with good suspension at the trot.  The trainer says Lourdes is very sound, and we observed nice clean legs.  He is by Golden Missile, who is a son of AP Indy out of a mare from the Cure the Blues/ Hail to Reason/Turn-To sire line.  His dam is by a son of Rock Talk, a stout old TB line coveted in steeplechasing and jumping arenas, with Raja Baba and another cross of Hail to Reason through Bold Reason. This is a stout sport oriented pedigree completely free of Mr. Prospector and Storm Cat.
