The owner of this very cute filly stopped us as we were walking into the track to ask us to list her, and he said she was very sweet, quiet, and sound, just a really good girl. When we got to meet her, she appeared to be all that he had described. She was very friendly and appreciated our attention. She posed quietly and jogged on a loose lead handled by a brand new volunteer, showing off a lovely balanced and relaxed toe pointing trot that would look lovely in the show hunter ring or the dressage arena. Her legs were clean, and her trainer told us that she was exactly as her owner had represented, sound, sweet, quiet, easy to handle. She had just raced two days before we saw her, and she showed no signs of any post race stiffness. Lalibela has been a good hard trying racehorse, with 4 wins and 13 top three finishes in 35 starts. She has raced 16 tines this year without a break, and the fact that she is still so relaxed and happy and moved so nicely is a testament to her happy attitude and friendly demeanor and bodes well for any new career. She has an excellent sport horse pedigree. She is by Successful Appeal, from the Valid Appeal branch of the In Reality sire line. Her dam is by Distorted Humor out of a Housebuster mare.
