Argyle Gal, 2013, 16h, Bay Mare

This lovely daughter of Frost Giant impressed us with her huge shoulder, deep girth, and strong hind end with excellent hip angles — all suggesting the jumping ability that her pedigree also is well suited for. And eventers and trail riders take note — on the rainy day on which we photographed her, as shown in the photo of her front legs, she walked right into and stood politely in a big puddle, suggesting that water elements on course will be no problem for her! Argyle Gal was very well behaved for her photo session despite a horse being loaded on a trailer right in front of her and the cold, windy day. She was completely unfazed by all the hustle and bustle around her and jogged politely and slowly beside her groom, who due to a recent injury could not move fast enough to let her fully trot out. Despite the limitations of her handler’s movement, Argyle Gal showed hints of nice suspension and an even balanced trot. Argyle Gal is ready to move on to a new career because after three wins and ten more in the money finishes, plus her best races having been on the synthetic surface at Presque Isle, a track that is done for the season, there are no more racing opportunities for her this year. She is reported to be sound. Her trainer says that a few years ago she had a mild suspensory issue, which was fully rehabbed, and she has gone on to race regularly with no issues or problems whatsoever. She has no limitations for any new discipline. Argyle Gal has an excellent pedigree for sport/jumping disciplines. She is by Frost Giant, a son of Giant’s Causeway who has produced many offspring who have made very successful transitions to eventing and jumping careers. Her dam is by Outofthebox, from the Montbrook/Buckpasser sire line out of a mare from the Notebook/Well Decorated/Raja Baba sire line. Her second dam is by Private terms, a son of Private Account. These sire lines are amongst the most popular for eventing and jumping disciplines. Argyle Gal is offered at an enticing bargain price for a mare with so much potential, so she should get snapped up quickly! Price: $1,000 Contact: John Tebutt 585-230-5710
