Backdrafter, 4 year old 16 h bay gelding

Hubba Hubba – solid boned, balanced, quiet and sweet, young and lightly raced– and a lovely mover! Backdrafter – whose barn nickname is Eeyore — offers it all. With his very laid back demeanor we can see him as a natural for the show hunter ring, but he would probably be unflappable on trails or hunter paces as well. He has shown no racing aptitude at all, so his trainer wants to find him a new career where he can shine.  He is well bred, by Hook and Ladder out of a graded stakes winning mare by Seattle Dancer (Slew’s half brother).  Hook and Ladder brings in both Dixieland Band and Cox’s Ridge, sire lines well known for producing good jumpers with good minds. His trainer says he is completely sound and easy to handle (except he doesn’t care for having his whiskers shaved with clippers), and turns out well with other horses. He says he is an easy keeper with a good appetite, and has good strong feet. He does sometimes crib on his feed bucket only at meal times, but does not wear a collar and the trainer says he has never seen him try to crib at any other time.  Come check out Eeyore, and you will be rewarded with a friendly easy going guy who has potential to excel in the show ring.
