Update May 2014: We have an adoption pending, with anticipated shipping to his new home in early June
Update March 2014: In January FLF rescued Bedrock Blues from a neglect situation, and placed him in foster care, where he was given great care and restored to health. We are now putting him into a retraining program, and he is available for adoption to the perfect forever home.
Bedrock Blues , a gorgeous and very well bred $310,000 yearling purchase, is a warhorse who has done his job as a racehorse. It’s now time for him to move on to another discipline. Don’t let his age deter you: this fella has a lot of life in him. Bedrock is by the A. P. Indy sire Mineshaft out of a Cure the Blues mare. He has substantial bone and the build of a WB but has the athleticism of a Thoroughbred. His regular exercise rider has been galloping him for six years and stated that he is excellent to gallop and “knows his job”. Bedrock is well-mannered and a gentleman to work around. He is a very nice mover who could do well in the hunter ring, dressage, or eventing. He has a very small, high bow on his left front, but it is tight and cold. This does not cause him to be unsound.
