Bethel, 2010 16.3h chestnut stallion

This big, solid beautifully put together stallion is graded stakes placed as a three year old, and he has a regal pedigree that should make him a very enticing breeding prospect for racing and for sport horse breeding.   His owner would like to place him into a breeding program, in light of his stakes record, conformation, and pedigree.  Bethel is a Claiborne Farm bred son of champion sire Pulpit, out of a stakes placed mare who is a stakes producer.  His third dam is English champion and classic winner Mysterious, who won the Epsom Oaks, One Thousand Guineas and Yorkshire Oaks 00 the big three Grade I classic races in England for three year old fillies.  This is certainly a pedigree that is worth perpetuating through breeding.  These are also lines that are very good for jumping/sport horse breeding, and we think that Bethel would cross well with warmblood mares.  Bethel has only raced twice since his successful graded stakes placed 3 year old season, and he has not been in race training since this spring. He was off for his jog video, perhaps because he was barefoot and trimmed too short.  We were not able to get much information about his soundness from his handler, except the emphasis on his exceptional pedigree.  Bethel was perfectly behaved for his photo session and struck as a kind horse who is good to handle.  Breeders should seriously consider this big solid boned stakes horse!
