Bo is an 8 year old gelding whose trainer has been using him as a track pony. He is a thoroughbred and has raced in Florida but they do not know his Jockey Club name so we have no Equibase to attach to him. They do know that he is by Mr. Greeley. The owner describes a situation where Bo was drilled before coming to them, he was sore and underweight, a situation that inspired them to get him into a better life with them. Since then he has gained a lot of weight and they describe him now as an easy keeper. He doesn’t require a lot of grain and tends to get too hot when he gets racehorse feed. He has been used as a pony for breaking babies and was a great track pony for his connections last year but, unfortunately, he just doesn’t like it and they just want him to be happy in his work. His owners/trainers are racetrack veterans with very well cared for horses and are happy to answer all questions you may have.
