We think this handsome, great moving guy is a  very exciting sport horse prospect for eventing, show hunters, jumpers, or dressage.  He truly checks all the boxes: young, strong shoulder and uphill build, beautiful mover with loft and reach from the shoulders, clean legged, described as sound, good manners and temperament, and with a dream sport horse pedigree…. all of this at a bargain price! Bossmon is a son of KY Derby winner Super Saver, who is by Maria’s Mon… a sire line recently extolled in the RRP Magazine as fabulous for great brains and great movement and jumping ability.  And his dam is by Cox’s Ridge, another sire line coveted by those looking for jumping prospects.  Bossmon has had 28 starts with almost 50% in the money finishes; this year, he won his last race and has 50% in the money finishes. So he obviously has heart and athletic ability. Although he is still running well, he is owned by a groom who cannot afford to keep him over the winter, so with the end of the Finger Lakes racing season looming, Bossmon is being offered to a great non-racing home to a new career.  We were told that Bossmon is a very good horse to handle and work with and ride, with no vices. On a cold blustery day he was a perfect gentleman for his photos session and jog video.  And what beautiful movement he showed off for that trot video — on a day when we saw so many great movers, our volunteers ranked Bossmon near the top of a fabulous group.  Balance, suspension, great reach from the shoulders, toe pointing… his trot has it all. He is what everyone says they want — a younger gelding with good zie and clean legs and beautiful movement.  So better call fast on this guy!
