Brambletyde, 2015 15.3h dark bay gelding

This classically beautiful young gelding is described as a friendly horse with a great personality who loves kids and attention. Unraced, he was showing great promise in training this past summer when he incurred a small slab fracture in a knee. The prognosis is excellent with proper rest and rehab.  He has been on stall rest for the past three months, and is handling it well.  He will need a few more months of rest before he can progress to controlled limited turnout. X-rays are available. The trainer reports that when he was in training he was a beautiful balanced and light mover. She has videos of him under saddle on the track that she can show to seriously interested approved good homes. Since he is only two, Brambletyde is going to grow some more, and may well top out at a bit over 16h.  Our volunteers saw him earlier in the summer when he was still in training, and we were amazed by how much he had grown from July to November. With his beautiful balanced and uphill build and elegant head and topline, he looks like a classy show hunter to us. He is by Hunter’s Bay, a young son of Ghsotzapper from the Deputy Minister sire line, and who is out of a Smoke Glacken mare. In Reality, Two Punch, and Blushing Groom are prominent sport lines on his sire’s side.  Brambletyde’s dam is a Danzig granddaughter with Blushing Groom, Sadler’s Wells, and Roberto in her pedigree. This pedigree is chock full of great sport/jumping lines. Give this guy the proper time, bring him along slowly starting next spring, and you are going to have a fabulous horse.  Because he was in training this year, he is RRP eligible.  Prospective homes will be very carefully vetted, references will be required and checked.
