Bridgetta, 2009 15.3h dark bay mare

Wow, what a solid bodied pretty mare — and she has the biggest heart and work ethic too!  Bridgetta has won over $300,000 in her racing career, with a remarkable 10 wins and 31 in the money finishes in 56 starts!  Now that’s the kind of heart and “try” everyone wants in their equine partner.  She is retiring sound, with only minimal ankle rounding from old well set osselets.  Bridgetta won us over with her elegant and refined head and kind eye, and she was very friendly while we visited with her as she was brushed off from a roll in the shavings before her photo session.  Her trainer says she has a good temperament, with only mild occasional moments of “mareishness.” On the track, Bridgetta was a front running sprinter, and that, combined with her solid quarter-horse build, suggests that she might excel in barrel racing. But her lofty movement also suggests that dressage might be a great new career for her.  For her jog video, Bridgetta was a bit “up,” since she had done no more than go on the walking machine for the past week, but she was respectful of her handler, and showed springy movement with good engagement from behind and a toe pointing reach. She is by Roaring Fever, out of mare by Go for Gin. Bridgetta’s full brother, Thundering Roar, has gone on to a successful new career, and this past summer we also paced her half sisters, Manhattan Gin and Prima Estrella, into new homes, where they are reported to be doing well and making their new owners happy.   We are confident that Bridgetta will do the same for you! Because her owner wants her to find a great home as soon as possible, this wonderful mare is offered at an enticing “end of the racing season” bargain price.  A very good home is essential, and references will be checked.
