Another wonderful durable war horse, the handsome and adorable Buddy Red is still sound, clean legged, and a lovely mover after 72 starts, earning his connections over $90,000.  He is really just a big puppy dog — his owner/trainer kept saying what a good kind horse he is, not the slightest bit studdish. Just think what a great gelding Buddy will be!  We experienced Buddy’s agreeable good-to-handle nature, and a neighboring trainer commented on what a class act this horse is in the post parade. Buddy trotted politely on a loose lead, stepping out nicely and showing off a beautiful flat kneed ground covering trot. We think Buddy is a true gem, who could excel in any new discipline. He is certainly pretty enough and has the movement for the show hunter ring.  Do not let his age or “intact” status deter you — he has many more years to give, and a gelding procedure is an easy upgrade for this classy fellow. A very good home is essential.
