Call Me Sis, 2007, 16.2h Chestnut Mare

For everyone wanting a horse that is 100% competitive athlete and 100% cuddle friend-you really can have the best of both worlds!  The old warning about “chestnut mares” definitely does not describe this sweet girl.  She stood perfectly for her interview and photographs, despite a freezing, snowy day that had many horses feeling extra happy with their back legs.  This big girl has a permanent home in the hearts of her current connections, but her talent on the race track is waning and they have decided to let her move on to a new career, if the right home with a new job for her comes along. This gorgeous girl raced the day before her photo session and jogged sound for our volunteers the next morning — a testament to her soundness.   We have seen her trot while walking around the backside on a few other occasions and each time we have been impressed by her!  Her racing videos also demonstrate her excellent, well balanced, gaits.  That alone is proof of a durable athlete.   She has perfectly clean legs and no vices.  Her trainer states she is excellent with children and would be great for a excellent young rider to bring along with a trainer in a sport horse discipline.  Big, sound, with a perfect demeanor is highly sought after, so please consider calling quickly if she appeals to you.
