Campobasso, 2013 15.3h chestnut filly

This adorable flashy filly captured the hearts of our volunteers, with her good looks, gorgeous movement, and sweet personality. Her trainer described her as sound and a good girl to handle, with no vices, and we observed clean legs.  When she trotted out for her video, she showed off light lofty movement with suspension and reach, suggesting that she will be quite successful in the hunter ring, or in dressage.  She is also very well bred, and should attract interest from breeders with the proliferation of black type in her female family. Her sire is Sky Mesa, perennially a top sire, and a son of Pulpit who is by AP Indy. Her dam, by Raffie’s Majesty, is a full sister to multiple stakes winners and stakes placed horses. The second and third dams are graded stakes producers, and the 4th dam is the great broodmare Willamae, dam of Travers winner Will’s Way, Kentucky Oaks winner Willaonthemove, and leading sire Citidancer.  Campobasso is an outstanding prospect for sporting disciplines or for race or sport horse breeding.
