CANDYROCK, 2015 16.1h chestnut gelding

Candyrock impressed us with his balanced conformation and intelligent kind personality.  His trainer says that he is a very classy and sound horse who has a willing attitude, is happy to train, and never does anything wrong.  He has such a sensible professional attitude that the trainer sends him to the track for training and for racing without a pony horse. The owner/trainer says that because Candyrock is so athletic and well balanced, he is confident that he will be an outstanding jumper. We observed Candyrock being groomed for his photo session, and he stood like a perfect gentleman in his stall while being curried and brushed and was not even tied up.  Candyrock is currently running well in allowance level races, but his owner/trainer is looking ahead to the end of the Finger Lakes racing season when he would like to fully retire from the racing game — and thus retire Candyrock to a new career.  Candyrock has unlimited potential for any new discipline.  He displayed very nice even light movement for his jog video.  Note that the listed price for Candyrock reflects his current racing level; as the end of the Finger Lakes season gets closer the price for a non-racing new career may well become more negotiable. Candyrock is by Sidney’s Candy, who is a son of the great Candy Ride who is from the Cryptoclearance branch of the Fappiano sire line. Candyrock’s dam Untainted is by Speightstown out of Saint Ballado mare with Key to the Mint as her damsire.  These Gone West/Halo/Ribot sire lines are coveted in sport horse disciplines.
