Update Dec. 2: she disappeared off the track on Dec. 1, without being signed out, and an investigation is underway. A national search is underwy to try to find her, but it is feared that she met an unfortunate fate.
Update November 2013: We have been informed that this lovely big mare urgently needs a new home. She is an oustanding broodmare prospect for racing or a sport horse breeding program.
Cat is a big impressive girl, a flashy dark chestnut color with lots of chrome and dapples. She is by Catienus, a son of Storm Cat, who is known as a good broodmare sire, and as siring good sport horses with good minds, as well. She was very quiet and easy to handle during her photo session. You can see from her video she’s a nice mover but very relaxed. Her trainer said this girl is done racing and needs a new career. She said she is sound on an old arthritic left ankle and so her trainer feels she would be a good pleasure or trail horse but not for jumping. She would be very flashy under tack and might make a lovely dressage prospect. Cat would love to have someone to share mints and quiet times under saddle with. We bet you’ll love her too.
