Occasionally we have the rare privilege to list a hard working pony horse from the track.  They may not all be OTTBs, but they help keep the race horses safe and happy and are worth their weight in gold.  Chaz’s owner described him as “bombproof”.  He was a former cutting horse who the owner took in while he was underweight and in poor condition.  She has lovingly put weight on him and got him looking healthy again. Chaz has excelled as a pony horse, safely delivering his TB pals to the track for training and racing time, but his connections are ready to move this solid bodied, sensible guy on so that he can enjoy a more lighthearted career. He has an old bow on the left hind tendon that is reported to not bother him. The would love to see him in a family-oriented, trail riding or pleasure home. He certainly has the demeanor that would help him excel in those disciplines. No need to “retrain” this one– just hop on and go for a ride! He is reported to be great in turnout and has no stable vices.
