Located at the Finger Lakes Race Track, Farmington, NY (near Rochester, NY). This shiny girl with an adorable face is an easygoing cutie. And a ‘health nut’ too!'(we were told by her handler that this pretty girl prefers grass, apples, and carrots to peppermints!) But even though she turned down our candy, she was still very affectionate and appreciated the scratches and smooches that we lavished upon her! And her cute name made us smile.We liked her wide chest and her solid, well-proportioned and balanced body. Her slightly longer frame suggests a more hunter-like appearance and movement. We observed her to jog soundly with relaxed rhythm and fluid hunter-like movement. We saw her go quietly and relaxed on a loose lead. Her assistant trainer stated, “a little kid could walk her” and shared that her special needs son often visits her and helps to feed her. Chump Change is by Pomeroy, who is a Danzig grandson. We have placed several Pomeroy offspring over the last several years, and they are reported to have great brains and temperaments, are athletic, good movers and jumpers, and great all around horses! Chump Change’s dam is by Forestry. We can see Chump Change being a willing partner who could do well in a variety of disciplines. Her physique suggests western oriented disciplines would be right up her alley, and her solid conformation and lovely movement also point towards the hunter ring. This mare, who started her race career at Gulfstream Park and Pimlico, has been a consistently good performer at the track; in her 49 starts, she has a record of 10-11-8, and lifetime earning exceeding $136,000. We think this is a testament to her durability, great attitude and solid work ethic.
