City Girl, 2014 16.1h bay mare

Located at Finger Lakes Race Track, Farmington, NY Unraced and a homebred, City Girl is a beautiful lofty mover with great potential for dressage or lower level eventing — or any career you want to aim her at. And she is RRP eligible since she has published workouts this year, as recently as the end of May 2019.  Her owner/trainer had her in race training when she was a three year old, but City Girl got a bit  sore  and ultrasounds revealed a  minor “pinhole sized’ hole in a tendon, although there was no swelling. So she stopped on City Girl and fully rehabbed her and gave her lots of time to hang out at the farm.  She put City Girl back in race training this spring, but she is not showing a lot of speed in her workouts, and the owner/trainer is busy with a second job and  other horses at the track and farm, and has realized that it is better for this mare to find her a new career than to try to get her started in racing as a 5 year old maiden.  The owner /trainer says that City Girl is good to ride and to handle, and she is a very easy keeper.  City Girl showed off impressive big lofty movement at the trot, and a flowing big strided walk with swing.  She is by Cosmanaut, who is a a son of Lemon Drop Kid; her dam is by Good and Tough out of a secretariat mare.
