This gorgeous and statuesque Kentucky bred fellow exudes class and good breeding. He had run just three days prior to his interview and his handler commented that he came back to the barn barely blowing and didn’t turn a hair. He strikes us as a classy professional, an older guy who has seen and done it all and remains sound on a hardy frame. It’s our opinion that the older warhorses are living, walking, racing testaments to their heart and resilience, and Class Clown exemplifies these attributes. He is reported to have a great, personable demeanor, is great to work with on the ground and a dream to gallop. We got the feeling that he is a special boy to his connections and it was easy to understand why.
Class Clown has been a highly successful racehorse, not in the Stakes winning/placed category, but in the allowance and claiming ranks at smaller tracks. Although he didn’t break his maiden until he was four after several attempts, he then went on to rack up three more wins in rapid succession, including allowance company. His last win was in October of this year and, as an 8 year old, this is it.
He showed off a floaty trot on a loose lead and, honestly, this big, handsome, nice mover could go in any direction.
