Cosmo the Comet, 2009, 17.1+h Dark Bay Gelding

Tall dark and handsome-this boy would look beautiful as your new sort horse project!  Cosmo the Comet has been a successful race horse earning over $119,000 in his 52 starts with 8 wins, 1 second, and 7 thirds.   This beautiful boy is hanging out at his owner/trainer’s farm not far from the Finger Lakes Race Track.   His trainer reports he does best racing on grass and feels that he would make an excellent eventing prospect for this reason.  She describes him as “good natured and loving” and has no vices.  He is reported to be very athletic, not naughty, but strong with good endurance, so he would be best suited for an experienced rider or someone working with a trainer.  He showed good loft and suspension for his jog pass that we think will appeal to those in sporting disciplines.  He is quite tall which should appeal to all those long legged riders.  Cosmo the Comet turns out well with other geldings at the farm.  His trainer reports he is good for the vet and farrier, cross ties, clips, and trailers well.  She reports he is sound with an old osselet that does not bother him.  Don’t let his age deter you.  This is the perfect age to start retraining.  At this age, horses have “seen it all” on the race track, no more funny business, just ready to work.  These horses are often made of steel!  He is by Spanish Steps out of an Alydeed mare.
