Located at Finger Lakes Race Track, Farmington, NY (close to Rochester, NY).
This elegant girl was sweet, but a little more sensitive and excitable than
her more experienced stablemates had been as she was led out into the brisk,
early morning air.

This leggy filly has a gorgeous, long neck, a long sloping shoulder, and
deep body set over a short wheel-base. So pretty! She is only three, so we’d
expect her to grow and fill out quite a bit more to blossom into a truly
lovely mare. Alaska was friendly and responsive to her handler (and
volunteers) while posing for her photos. But her handler took the precaution
of putting a lip chain on her because she seemed a bit happy and excited to
be outside on the brisk morning and no one wanted her to be overly
enthusiastic. We were concerned that footing might be slippery before the
pavement had a chance to be warmed up by the sun. Because of the footing
concerns, we have limited video (once she got a minor case of the woo-hoo’s,
we opted to cut it short to insure her safety) but we detected glimpses of a
very athletically and freely moving filly. One who we could easily imagine
as a jumper or event prospect. We were told that the exercise riders love
riding her and say that she is straightforward and easy to gallop. She is
entered to race on Tuesday (11/19/19), giving you the opportunity to see her
in action.

She is by Cross Traffic out Alaska Miss by Officer. Notable sports sires in
her pedigree include Fappiano / Unbridled, Hail to Reason, Gone West,
Seattle Slew and Relaunch. Alaska has started 16 times with a 1-2-2 record
and lifetime earnings of almost $16,000.

Because of her youthful spirit and athleticism, she may do best with a more
experienced owner with more competitive aspirations in order to bring out
her full potential. But if that describes you, we think this pretty and
athletic filly could cross off a lot of boxes on your wish list! Why not
