Dancing Lion 2010 16 h bay gelding: retained by owner

If this gelding had a theme song, it would be “I’ve Been Everywhere, Man” because, man, he really has been everywhere!  With almost $200,000 in earnings, he has run at Parx, Monmouth, Suffolk, Laurel Charlestown and he just recently hit the Finger Lakes oval. He has earned almost 50% in the money finishes with 6 wins, 11 thirds and 9 thirds, including a second place finish in a Stakes race as a two year old. While sound and hardy, his form has tapered off enough that his owner is ready to move him along. His handler during his photoshoot has galloped Dancing Lion and said he is a sensible guy with a smooth gait “like a big, comfy couch”. Because he has been through so many hands, he is a been-there-done-that horse that is not fazed by much of anything. He was wonderfully cooperative and well mannered while we visited with him outside the barn and, wow, what a nice mover he is! We think he would excel in just about any discipline and with that movement and just enough chrome, he will get noticed in the show ring.
