Don Vito’s Kitty, 2016 16.2h bay filly

Located at Finger Lakes Race Track, Farmington, NY (near Rochester).
This flashy filly with lots of chrome will turn heads wherever she goes! And she has such a sweet tempered and friendly personality. Her trainer reports that she is good to work with and has no stall vices. Kitty has been on stall rest and hand walking since June to rehab a knee chip in her left knee, and she has been a model patient, always quiet and willing and well behaved. She is now sound and has progressed to jogging. For her jog video we saw her on a very windy rainy day, and despite her lack of much recent work, she was perfectly behaved. She showed lovely movement with a flowing reach, which makes us think she could be a great dressage prospect. Her trainer reports that x-rays are available and that she would be happy to arrange to have her vet share with you and your vet. Kitty is lightly raced with only 9 career starts but she showed some ability, earning over $33,000 in those starts, hitting the board 5 times. Don Vito’s Kitty is by El Padrino, who is a son of Pulpit out of a Giant’s Causeway mare. Her dam is by Sir Cat, and has Private Account, Damascus, Silent Screen and Prince John in her pedigree. With this pedigree and her size and looks, Kitty is also an attractive prospect as a sport horse broodmare. Because she has raced in 2019, Kitty is fully eligible for RRP 2020. This gorgeous sweet filly is a wonderful prospect for someone who has the patience to give her a bit more rehab time and let her grow and more fully mature.
