D’Princess Diana, 2013 15.3h bay filly

This princess is indeed regally bred, but she has not lived up to the success of her many stakes winning forebears on the track. She has yet to win in five starts, and her trainer says that although she is completely sound, she is just not showing enough talent for racing. But that can be the sport world’s gain, since this still growing girl with lovely movement and balanced solid bodied conformation has so much potential for many disciplines.  For her trot video she showed balance, suspension, good engagement from behind, and a very good correct way of moving. Her trainer says she is a good girl to handle, but she does mildly crib, and it is controlled with a collar.  Breeders should take great interest in her as a broodmare prospect — her female family is one of the very best in the US stud book.  She is by Congrats, a successful sire son of AP Indy, and her dam is by Gone West and out of the great grade 1 stakes winning and producing La Guerriere.  This is the Searching/Priceless Gem/Lady Winborne branch of the coveted foundation La Troienne female line. D’Princess Diana’s dam, Alta Love, has had offspring sell for up to $500,000 as yearlings, and she herself was a $390,000 yearling.
