This pretty and classy bay mare was initially listed by us and then retained for racing but it is now clear that her racing days are definitely over. With just a bit of down time we think this mare will be suitable for just about any discipline. She has a great sport/jumping pedigree. She is by Hook and Ladder, who has Cox’s Ridge and Dixieland Band close up and has sired many horses that have transitioned well to become show hunters, foxhunters, and eventers. Her dam is by Personal Flag, a son of Private Account, from the Damascus and Hoist the Flag lines. She reportedly develops some puffy ankles after racing but is never sore, and she did not demonstrate any lameness when we took her video. She’s reported to be good in turnout, nice to ride, stands well for the vet and farrier and is an overall good citizen. If you’re lucky enough to live near a body of water it is reported that she loves to swim too!
