Elusive New Yorker 2012 16.2 bay gelding

This was the first of many gorgeous bay horses pulled out for us on a brisk and blustery morning and, after seeing him, the rest would have big shoes to fill! What a big, solid, classy gelding, as suggested by his $200,000 price tag at the yearling sales. He is by top sire Elusive Quality from the Gone West sire line and his wonderful breeding shows in his balanced conformation. We admired his massive shoulder and neck and overall beauty. This young horse has an old shin fracture which was rehabbed via the tincture of time and he has serial xrays available for your review. He has raced since being brought back and occasionally comes back a little sore. He is also reported to be on the portly side and does not require a lot of grain to maintain his beefy build.  He has never raced to his breeding and has four in the money finishes in his 14 lifetime starts. His handler had nothing but good things to say about this “sweetheart” of a horse and is very interested in getting him a perfect non-racing home.
