Ernest Runaway, 2012, 16h, Bay Gelding

Ernest Runaway has made it clear he doesn’t want to to run on the track anymore.  With only 3 starts, he is not showing potential and is ready to be moved onto a new career.  He had a foot injury earlier in the year but appears to be jogging sound now.  At only 3, he still has some growing left to do, which is also evident in his pictures.  He will likely benefit from some time to settle into his new surroundings and finish growing before starting his retraining.  As a youngster with a massive build, he may need an experienced rider.  With some time to grow, fill out, and let his foot finish healing, he will be a force to be reckoned with in a sporting discipline.  He shows beautiful, solid, bone structure.  His trainer reports he has a good personality and has been good to work with with the occasional “baby” movements.  He was feeling pretty happy on the cold, windy day we photographed him, so we only have a short jog video.  No vices.  This is the perfect opportunity for the competitive rider willing to give a horse some time and TLC to have a big, competitive, gelding in the near future.
