Estimated Queen, 2011 15.1h chestnut filly

Fabulous things can come in small packages!  This filly is a stunning mover who floats lightly over the ground with suspension, cadence, reach, and good tracking up engagement of her hindquarters.  Lightly raced, clean legged and sound, she is not showing enough racing ability, but we sure can see her dazzling judges in the dressage arena or in the hunter ring. Since she is only three, she will still grow a bit, but is not likely to top out over 15.3 hands.  Her owner/trainer says she is a good girl with no vices. We had actually first seen Estimated Queen the week before her official photo shoot, when a groom who did not understand English mistakenly brought her out to show to a very tall shopper, who wanted to see her much bigger stablemate. Before we could try to explain that it was the wrong horse, the groom took off at a brisk pace trotting her, letting her go loose on the lead shank, and our jaws all dropped at her big lofty floating movement. “Who is she,” we all exclaimed , and while we regretted not having the video camera running, we were excited to hear that she was one we could photograph the following week.  For her official jog video, she was missing a shoe, and her trainer moved slowly and did not let her go loose, but we still saw lovely movement.  She is also a well bred filly, by Catienus out of a Gulch mare. We know of several people having success with Catienus offspring in eventing and H/J disciplines.
