Eucalyptus 2011 17 h dk bay gelding: retained by owner

We were treated to yet another gorgeous, classy thoroughbred when this guy stepped out of the barn, wowing his onlookers, including volunteers and shoppers. The first thing you notice about Eucalyptus is his substantial size, of course. Next you take in his almost black good looks and then you realize as the interview goes on that he is just fabulous in every department. He is very lightly raced for his age, having started his career at the age of four when he won his first race, a Maiden Special Weight heat, at Belmont Park. His handler reports that he prefers the surface at Presque Isle and his races have been spaced out. We did note that he has old osselets that are cold, set and do not cause him to be lame, indeed he showed light flowing movement at the walk and the jog. He is reported to be a sweet, kind horse who is easy to handle and doesn’t even need a pony in the post parade to the gate. In researching his pedigree it’s noted that he was a $350,000 yearling purchase and is a son of Arch out of a Holy Bull mare. Such a gorgeous horse will attract attention so act fast if this guy tickles your fancy.
