Final Stride, 2009 16h chestnut gelding: at FLTAP

Update Nov. 4, 2015:  Final Stride is now at the Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program’s Purple Haze Center.  He can been seen there by approved adopters.

This handsome, long legged well put together boy is described as a very friendly and laid back good guy who just isn’t running well at the conditions level he is eligible for, so it is time to find him a new career.  His legs are nice and clean, and he was described to us as sound, very nice to gallop, well behaved, and a major peppermint lover.  For his jog video, Final Stride showed very nice movement, with a light, slow rhythm and flat kneed trot that suggests he would flourish as a show hunter.  We can also see this young gelding succeeding in just about any new discipline.  A well-bred half brother to two graded stakes winners, his pedigree is full of good sport/jumping lines, such as Private Account, Damascus, Storm Bird, Roberto.  He is quite the bargain, in our opinion… young, sound and clean legged, quiet, great personality, nice mover — he ticks all the boxes!
